October 2018
Please join us in saying CONGRATULATIONS to our Missionary, President, and Co-Founder on 10 years of Full-Time Missions. Joy felt called to the mission field at the age of 10 and that vision began to take form as she entered Missionary Training in February 2008. She spent time building a support base, and working part-time in the office of another mission agency. In October 2008, God lead Joy to leave her full-time job as part of the management team at State Farm Insurance and prepare for what was to come next.
Joy served that mission agency full-time in the Short-Term Trips department and continued further missionary training. By July 2009, Joy knew Honduras was the location God was calling her to serve as a field missionary. In January 2011, Joy left for Honduras, leaving all but 8 boxes and two suitcases of items behind. In 2012, Joy and her ministry associate, Jen Cook, Co-Founded Joy To The Nations International, and both have served faithfully in Honduras for nearly 8 years.
Today, on average, most missionaries only serve about five years on foreign soil before heading home. We commend Joy for her passion and commitment to serve God and the nations, making a difference in Honduras and bringing people into the Kingdom of God.
